As we are all painfully aware, a war against science rages among fanatical groups who insist that evolution is “just a theory” and who wish to force into schools the notion that Creationism is a theory on a par with science. A scientific theory can be tested, is subject to change and even abandonment, and it makes predictions about natural events. Creationism does none of these things, and is subject to no objective, rigorous testing. It is, in fact, nothing more than a non-falsifiable proposition that has no scientific value whatsoever.
